New Additions - Real Techniques Brushes

New Additions - Real Techniques Brushes

Hey guys!
It's no secret that I am a huge fan of RT brushes. I only use their brushes, apart from a few Mac eyeshadow brushes. I think the quality is amazing and there is a reason why almost every beauty blogger owns a few! Here are a few new additions to my brush collection.

I picked up the Blush Brush and Face Expert Brush. I personally use the Blush Brush as a powder brush because I have a small face and usually powder brushes are huge! This brush is perfect sized for me, and I like the dome-like shape which makes it easier to set powder under your eyes. It's also great at blending out your contour too in the event it appears too harsh, but in general I use this as a powder brush and it does a great job for me. I find if you push the powder gently onto the skin with this brush, it works better instead of fanning your whole face with it. I use this brush to set my Chanel Powder (see review here). The Face Expert Brush has attracted so much attention for being an all-rounder amazing brush. I use this to blend out any face product. I dab my concealer on, add dots of my foundation, add my cream base to my eyes, add my cream contour and literally with this brush I blend it all out. I then use this to add my powder contour because I like how it's quite flat which gives it a great shape to contour your cheeks with. This is my only used foundation brush. I think the one that came in the core collection is great too but I personally love the shape of this brush. I find that it is more easier to work with, and it literally blends everything together so well - I hardly use anything else. Put it this way - I bought the beauty blender recently and it's lying unopened because I literally can't apply my foundation without this brush.

Any RT brushes you recommend?

Hey guys!
I'm trying to be sensible with my money and save, which doesn't seem to be happening for me, but recently I have been purchasing a few of my essentials, and some non-essential, random stuff, so I thought to share them with you.
I got this sweet dreams wall sticker off ebay (see link here) for around £2. I think this is an absolute bargain and I wanted something on my walls, something cute and homely. My wall has some weird scrapy bits - when I use to put up posters of my revision notes and then I ripped them off and took some wall paint with it...ooops. But that aside, I think it looks pretty neat and I like the little butterflies too. I plan to buy a Marilyn Monroe quote to put over my makeup dressing table - something about beauty that will inspire me =)

Skincare
My sister's best friend just recently came back from Paris so I asked for a bottle of Bioderma. This was around £7 there which is cheap as chips - although chips are not £7! I do like this as a second cleanser. I feel like it puts a soft bounce back into your skin, something I will definitely be needing in the winter seasons, so I thought it was best to stock up now. Boots Cold Cream is my favourite makeup remover now. It's a really thick cream, so I apply a thick layer all over my face, then massage this all in like you would with the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, and then with a face wipe or cotton pad, I wipe it all off. It honestly removes the toughest mascara, it leaves your skin very moisturised after and not sore. I think this again is perfect for the approaching Winter seasons, and it's so quick and easy at removing your makeup before you pop into bed. I decided to purchase the Kleenex facial clothes to use with the cold cream - so I'll let you know how I get on with this. I then picked up the Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser which I have been using over 2 weeks now and I'm not a huge fan. I wanted a daily face wash and cleanser in one, this seems to be that, but it hasn't been working well for my skin. It was great to use when the weather was boiling because my face felt very calm and cold after, but it rally does dry my skin out, so I think this is better suited for oily skin types. Lastly, I picked up the Nivea Day Cream which my best friend has been using for years. I decided to give it a shot and it honestly does the job. It makes my face appear more glowing, I apply my foundation straight after and it gives such a nice balance to my face. I've used many expensive creams before but this one is a great every day one for those on a budget.

Haircare
Since my hair has been brutally damaged from my Ombre, I have started to commit to hair masks and looking after my hair. I used no heat on my hair for a full week, kept my hair curly and every day I would add some oil to it. I literally soaked my hair in the oil for the whole week, and then the next week is was super shiny that everyone thought I had cut my hair fresh. I've been using Jasmine Oil which is great at thickening the hair, and raw coconut oil. The Raw Coconut Oil comes in a thick solid form, so take a spoon out and heat it in the microwave for literally 20 seconds or more - dependent on how solid it is. I think coconut oil works better when it is heated anyway. I then apply this to my hair, wrap my hair in a towel for around a couple hours, then wash my hair. I advise doing an oil treatment twice a month, not too much because it can clog you scalp which can make it very itchy. I now try to go curly once a week - to avoid heat and soak my hair with oil at the same time. I lastly picked up my all time favourite hairspray from L'Oreal - it honestly holds my curls and brushes out easily.

Perfume

I am not a huge perfume person. I'm in fact allergic to perfume, allergic in the sense that it gives me a migraine followed by vomiting sessions. Anything strong is likely to pass me out. But, recently I read you are 35% more attractive when wearing perfume so I decided to give it a try since avoiding it for so many years. I'm very particular with smells, I want to smells unique in comparison to everyone else, and something that kinda suits my personality. I've noticed a lot of girls wear the same perfume, which can be annoying. Say you want a guy to fall in love with you and he smells your perfume on someone else, he might fall in love with her too! So, I decided to pick something I haven't smelt on another person for a while and that was Lancome La Vie est Belle. It's a very sweet perfume, that is strong so I literally only spray it once on the back of my coat and once in my big hair. I literally do not spray for the next couple days. I love this perfume and I am sure it will successfully help me capture a husband soon =)
